District of Kogo receives visit from Head of State

The presidential couple, on arriving in Kogo, were received by both the general public and members of the Government, led by the Prime Minister, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, who is a native of the area. The act began with a singing of the national anthem, followed by a speech by the Mayor Bernardo Nvé, who referred to the social projects that the Executive carried out in the district, which now has asphalted roads, thanks to the good policies of the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

For his part, the Minister for Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Ondo Nguema, reported on the cost of the work in the three urban districts making up this demarcation within the Province of Litoral: Bomo, Mbañe Mibonde and León, with a total sum of twenty thousand million Franco CFA.

The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, recognised and praised the support provided by the inhabitants of Kogo for the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE) candidacy, during the presidential elections, and he recalled that the construction of new urban districts is to take the progress of the country to rural areas. He also told the population that there was a need for a change of mentality.

Another aspect he mentioned was the importance of keeping the peace, in order to continue with national development, because without peace there cannot be growth.
