The new Ambassador of Spain is presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs19.04.2017
On Tuesday, April 18, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, received in his office at the ministerial headquarters the new Ambassador of Spain, Guillermo Antonio López Mac-Lellan, who replaces Arturo Spiegelberg de Ortueta.
Agapito Mba Mokuy, in his first meeting with the diplomat, stressed the importance of strengthening the ties of cooperation between Spain and Equatorial Guinea, two countries with transcendent historical links.
Guillermo Antonio López Mac-Lellan holds a degree in Law and has extensive experience in the African field. He held the position of deputy Ambassador at the Spanish Embassy in Dakar (Senegal) with accreditation in Cape Verde, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conakry.
He has also been Deputy Director General of Sub - Saharan Africa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Counselor in the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union, Brussels and has held the Second Chief of the Embassy of Spain in Quito (Ecuador).
