Equatorial Guinea becomes member of UNESCO Executive Council

Equatorial Guinea, as a candidate country from Group 5 –which also includes Burundi, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Zambia and Zimbabwe – was elected as a member of the council with 159 votes, out of the 184 member countries of the UNESCO Executive Council for the 2017-2021 period.
At the meeting, the Equatoguinean delegation was led by the ambassador from our country to France and Permanent Equatorial Guinea Deputy before UNESCO, Miguel Oyono Ndong Mifumu, accompanied by the General Secretary of the National Commission, Santiago Bivini Mangue, and other members of the country's delegation in the French Republic.
