The Government invests more than 780 million in the acquisition of medicines


The Government of Equatorial Guinea has invested 781,900,586 to acquire six containers of 40 types of medicines. The cargo which destined for the Center for Medicines of Equatorial Guinea (CENTRAMED) will soon arrive in the country.

The Center's management explained that the purchased medicines fully cover the needs of all hospitals, medical centers, as well as private pharmacies and clinics throughout the country.
CENTRAMED was established in January 2006 according the initiative of President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo with the goal of sustainabale supplies to clinics and pharmacies of all forms of ownership. The motto of the center was formulated as "People's health, not commercial profit".
