Equatorial Guinea Signs Agreement for Biometric Passport Edition by CEMAC


The agreement was signed between the Secretary of State, Head of National Security, Eduardo Minag, in representation of the Government, and the High Commissioner responsible for the Common Market of the CEMAC Commission, Michel Niama.

As a result of this agreement, Equatorial Guinea complies with one of the fundamental objectives for the free circulation of people and their goods in the CEMAC area.

Michel Niama congratulated this incentive by the Equatorial Guinean government stating: “I congratulate the Equatorial Guinean authorities, especially the President of the Republic, S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who always leads the integration policy in the subregion, and the result of this integration policy was the signing of this important agreement”.

Through this agreement, Equatorial Guinea has complied with all agreements for the biometric edition of their passport, which will be used to control the migratory flow in the subregion, and to guarantee the excellent cooperation and collaboration with all CEMAC countries in this way.
