Working breakfast for President of the Republic

The work was overseen by the Angolan mandate, Joao Manuel Lourenso, in his capacity as president of the African Union Peace and Security Commission.

The meeting involved the three countries occupying the posts of Non-Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council: the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast and Ethiopia, which is being replaced by the Republic of South Africa.

The aim was to study a draft resolution to finance peace missions, led by the African Union. The resolution will be presented to the United Nations Security Council in the month of December, when Ivory Coast will hold the Security Council presidency.

During the Wednesday meeting, those present agreed on the need for the three countries to speak with a single voice in matters related to the African continent.
