Head of State meets the Ambassador of Spain


Five days before the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Independence, delegations invited by the Government of Equatorial Guinea continue to confirm their participation in the upcoming celebrations.

On October 8, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain, Guillermo López Mac-Lellan, announced the arrival of a high delegationof his country within several hours. The ambassador reported this during an audience with President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, which was held in the presence of Foreign Minister Simeon Oyono Esono.
The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain will be headed by the State Secretary of the Department, besides, Spanish military contingent will arrive in Malabo which is to participate in a large military parade on October 12.
In a conversation with the head of state, Mac-Lellan described the relations between Spain and Equatorial Guinea as good. 50 years after gaining independence, both countries continue to share common cultural values ​​and language, having no problems between them. There is a strong family connection between the two nations, which is only getting stronger today, the Spanish ambassador said.
