Equatorial Guinea participates African Industrialization Week in Addis Ababa


A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Energy, headed by the Secretary of State, César Augusto Hinestrosa Gómez, representing the Minister, has participated in the Conference of the Week of Industrialization of Africa, held from November 19 to 23 at the headquarters of the African Union, in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The conference has as its motto "Promoting the regional value chain in Africa: A way to accelerate Africa's structural transformation, industrialization and pharmaceutical production".

The week of industrialization was opened by speeches by the Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Albert M. Muchanga, the Ministers of Industry and Commerce of Niger and Ethiopia, as well as a number of representatives of international organizations.
The discussion of the Ministers of Industry and Trade of the countries of the African Union was moderated by the Secretary General of the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO), Hermogen Nsengimina. Participants, among whom was a representative of Equatorial Guinea, discussed the topics stated in the conference and considered the following issues: financing industrialization, special economic zones, price chain, national vision of industrialization strategies, development strategies of small and medium enterprises.
