Donation of clinical material against coronavirus arrives

Present during arrival at the airport were the Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Salomón Nguema Owono and the Minster for Civil Aviation, Leandro Mico, in addition to director generals from the Ministry for Health and National Security.

This donation comes as a great help in the protection of all those working against COVID-19. The donated materials include three different types of mask for doctors, nurses and personnel attending the sick, gowns, and protective equipment for the face and glasses.

The shipment also contained 11,300 reagents, which will help with the analysis of the population, in particular in the Continental Region, where cases due to contact have now been recorded.

The materials will be divided between the health workers in the Sampaka Hospital and the Baney laboratory, to members of the technical sub-committee who go to the houses where contagion has occurred, and to part of the population.

It is expected that the materials purchased by the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea from the republic of Turkey will arrive tomorrow. A plane will fly to Turkey tomorrow to pick up the material.
